Description

The AEM 21-778C Performance Cold Air Intake System produces horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is relocated to be in driver-side wheel well which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The lower air intake tube is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube with a durable gunmetal gray powder coat finish. The upper air intake tube is a roto-molded, aerodynamically engineered, HDPE tube that insulates the cooler intake air from heat as it passes through the engine bay and into the engine's throttle body. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the Lancer's factory emissions control devices including the mass airflow sensor and PCV hose. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me. For being an out of state experience it made it seem more like they were local to me and that I had known them for longer.

Install went smooth and the power seems to be even better than advertised. Cant wait to get tuned in a few weeks. Their shelf tune honestly has to be 600+ hp as I pulled on a Hellcat last night. I see these guys and gals going a long ways if they can get out there and advertise. Customer service is on point paired with BIGGG savings for the winning combo.
