The BORLA Team has an awesome sounding exhaust for your Sonata. Our 2.25" diameter Cat-Back™ system is specifically tuned for the Hyundai 1.6L engine. The S-Type system delivers a sound that is much sportier than stock, yet far from obnoxious, and is drone-free. System includes a flow plate to eliminate check engine light that may be caused by the increase of airflow of the BORLA system. The muffler features BORLA's Polyphonic Exhaust Harmonizer technology which utilizes patented units that contain pipes of different diameters and lengths to create multiple exhaust notes that harmonize to deliver a clean, rich, full bodied sound. The system features dual 3.5" round black chrome on T-304 stainless steel tips. Using BORLA Stainless Steel Polish p# 21499 is NOT recommended with these black chrome tips. A system with bright chrome on T-304 stainless steel tips is also available. BORLA Cat-Back™ & Axle-Back exhaust systems feature patented straight-through and multi-core technology to unleash hidden horsepower. Increased exhaust velocity adds power, driving excitement, fuel economy, and the distinctive BORLA Sound of Power respected by motoring enthusiasts everywhere. Each system is built from premium, high-quality T-304 austenitic stainless steel, superior to T-400 series knockoffs (such as 409), to give you the absolute best in performance and durability. Ultra-smooth mandrel bends ensure maximum flow & power, and precision computer numerical control (CNC) manufacturing ensures an accurate fit. Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me. For being an out of state experience it made it seem more like they were local to me and that I had known them for longer.
