Description

Sinister Diesel has reinvented the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler with this great new model for the 6.0L Powerstroke with the same fit as the stock unit from Ford. This EGR cooler kit comes with a new square-style EGR cooler and an installation kit that includes the water outlet connector hose, intake gaskets, o-ring kit, and turbo bolts. One of the major concerns with the factory EGR Cooler is that when the internal brazing cracks, coolant is sucked into the intake manifold. From the manifold it enters the combustion chamber which usually results in a blown head gasket or hydro-locked motor and costly repair bills for thousands of dollars! If you're tired of clogs and the possibility of a catastrophic failure with the stock 6.0 Powerstroke EGR cooler, or if you just want to prevent future headaches from unnecessary maintenance, replace it with one of Sinister Diesel's upgraded EGR cooler. Instead of the narrow internal cooling fins with brazed connections, we assemble each 6.0 Powerstroke EGR cooler using high-flow stainless steel tubing with quality TIG welds for reliability that the stock units can't match. And because of the factory-matching fit, installation is easy. You won't even have to remove the intake manifold! The Sinister Diesel 6.0 Powerstroke EGR cooler has been extensively tested at our California headquarters to be 100% legal in all 50 States with a CARB EO# D-721 certification. Additionally, we guarantee that this upgraded EGR cooler it will work with any performance chip or tuner on the market. It will even work flawlessly with the stock Ford Powerstroke ECM without need for any modification. Installation is a simple, direct, drop in replacement on any 2004, 2005, 2006, or 2007 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty or Ford Excursion with a 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine.

Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me.
